Paper filing

Posted by innuqjoe2a on February 15, 2011

Hi:
I’ve been busy rounding up Catherine’s paper piles and filing them into plastic file boxes and containers the past couple of weeks. And I did my own piles as well. Jodi told me that it would get worse before it got better! And she was right. I had to make return trips to the office supply store about five times. And picking up other neat gadgets as I went through their aisles.

And putting them into files don’t necessarily make understandable what’s been put away. It merely makes up many, many more categories and those have been categorized in other places as well. Cate had been piling stuff up for the past couple of years thinking that she would eventually get to them. Well, she sadly has passed away on December 18th, 2010…

A sad, sad day for me. Will, my son, and I escaped to Homer a couple of times during Christmas and New Years, first staying at the Land’s End Hotel and then moving to Best Western. We would eat at Ron and Turid’s house just about every evening. And we stopped by at our favorite lunch and book store at Soldotna on the way to and fro.

At least I now have a better idea as to where some of the tax records are. Didn’t have a clue before the filing.

Leaving Seattle tomorrow morning

Posted by innuqjoe2a on January 1, 2009

We are now in Seattle visiting friends and shopping at the Daniel Smith Art Supply Store. Haven’t had the time to go to Hartwicks, aHatterdashery, nor any junk shops. But we did have fun. Went to bed early or considerably early last night and missed all the fun (or the chores) of ushering in the New Year last night. We had dinner at Kayla’s last night with a couple who are also artists and friends of Kayla and John Webber a fine potter friend.

Tonight we were treated to an East Indian restaurant dinner by John and Susan Capps. Their son from Ithaca New York was there also.

We miss home as usual but it will be a cold homecoming at below 0 weather. Erk!
