Latest new computer

Posted by innuqjoe2a on January 12, 2010

This is a new HP mini-desktop. With Windows 7 and oodles of disk space. The HP laptop ran out of space. Someone asked me if I had an external hard drive (which to them is insurance from running out of space) and I answered “Yes, I do.” But it had so many programs that would be hard to always have to take out of the hard disk… Or can one go online from them? Anyway they’re there and I’m here.

I tell myself that I will get industrious enough one of these days to start adding photos and video to this blog. Not yet. If you want to see someone with a lot of industriousness try Googling “What do I Know.” Steve is a good friend of ours and he and his wife, Joan, travel the world and he blogs. And does photos and downloads videos (of his own and others downloaded from the web).

Extra cost Windows programs (or any other web appK)

Posted by innuqjoe2a on January 12, 2010

I am leaping by faith in the ability of the web sites to deliver what I need for completing needed files for my computer. Lately I had to get a compression kit just to be able to do this blog.

Next I have looked through the Windows programs to see just exactly what One Note does. The only way to find out I see is to add it on! Because the bare bones app which was once a trial is not going to allow me to do its tricks after clicking on it and the box says “Sorry, Trial over and now you have to figure out a way to see what you missed!”

Katchina Crossing the Bering Straits No. 3

Posted by innuqjoe2a on November 29, 2009

Last evening, Erin Cooper and her husband Sean visited and picked up Katchina Crossing the Bering Straits No. 3. She had paid for it months ago when she last visited Anchorage from Cordova.

Weird. Time is slipping by and I have forgotten how to get into my own blog site. (I wanted to add it to my various desktops so that I can more easily accews it) I have been leaving little notes here and there as I enabled various applications and websites. From here on, I need to be more dilligent and more enabled myself!

Catherine will see her Principal to get paperwork done for her extended leave situation from work. She has been in a lot of pain. (More than anybody I have witnessed so far — laid out on bed for a month or so.) Her L1 is fractured is what she learned from an X-ray ordered by Rick Abbott.

Southern California

Posted by innuqjoe2a on June 2, 2009

Hi: We are here at Catherine’s folks’ house since Saturday. We flew from Anchorage to Seattle on Friday, June 29th and stayed at a near-the-airport Radisson Hotel. The hotel room was very middle f the road, and adequate for our purposes of an over-night rest there..

We were sleepless in Seattle (Ha!) due to our underworked leg muscles cramping up in the night due to lugging our heavy packs (we decided to not check in our bags).

Chris has put me on his network since last night. Much faster than the unsecure  neighborhood stuff.

We are here for the memorial services of Grace Hamilton Coffin, Cate’s mother. I’m reading one of the Psalms selections at this afternoons services. Saturday we had Grace’s graveside burial ceremony.

Catherine is struggling with her statement for this afternoon’s service. Last night we were joined by Jenny Carter and Jeff Hamilton, Grace’s niece and nephew by her brother’s, Frank’s first marriage to Betty Carter, I’m not totally sure about Jenny’s last name here. Donna, Chris’s wife, prepared lamb shanks and Catherine made the salad.

Yesterday I got a haircut at Toni’s and Guys at Fashion Island. A sixty dollar haircut, still under What’s-his-name’s (Democratic Presidential candidate last summer) famous (or infamous) six hundred dollar treatment.

I joined Twitter today — Why? Don’t know yet.

Posted by innuqjoe2a on April 13, 2009

Plus I set it up to somehow go on to the cellphone.

We weent to Joannie’s Birdcreek Easter fireside chat yesterday. Well, she admits to being an ex-Menonite and on her unteenth year as a hotdog stand person at the Saturday Market downtown. Pulus we get to catch up with old firends who have been going to the Easter egg-hunt, barbeque and bonfire happening at Birdcreek annually for many years now.

William joined us with Audie, his dog. Audie had quite a pawful with a young male husky who looks bred for the Iditerod type races.

internet struggles

Posted by innuqjoe2a on March 10, 2009

The other day my MSN program was unusually difficult; so I had composed a blog entry which I thought was pretty witty concerning the difficulties.

Needless to say all of it got erased and forgotten during the attempts to save it and post it.

Internet blues. Why is it that these things get so difficult?

I type and hope that this will work. It doesn’t work so I try something else.

It stays at “Not Responding” and “do you want to save this?”

Then I give up and what I wrote is all gone.

A Month Gone By

Posted by innuqjoe2a on February 17, 2009

Today is February 17th; more than a month gone by… Well, Catherine and I have been busy with getting ready for our art exhibit at The Artworks, Fairbanks. I’ve just been doing drawings mostly. And mostly on Catherine’s almost daily watercolor backgrounds. We have enough now for a good exhibit. I first started a head drawing at Kayla Kosoglad’s house in Seattle. We past through their and spent the evenings at our other friend’s extra basement bedroom.

The head drawing was done with my trusty ball point pen (which I absent-mindedly left at Kayla’s dinner table). She had to send it to me and also sent a gift hat from Ben. Now I have to do an art statement. I was going to do it earlier today but forgot about it until now. So I’ll sign off and work on it.
